Summary: Honest shop

Review: The work seems sound, but I found the parts price mark-up to be outrageous. One can't expect the parts prices to compete with the likes of Amazon.com, but 200+% of those prices to me is excessive. On my visit, the repair estimate started a lot higher than I expected, partly because it included more parts than anticipated. What concerned me was that the longer I talked with the service rep, asking questions, demonstrating automotive knowledge, stating parts prices I found elsewhere, the lower and lower the estimate kept going. I don't see that as straight shooting. Give the customer the best price once and done. I understand that a mark-up on parts and labor costs are expected and necessary to run the business. However, I think it can be done more fairly and consistently if those numbers are firm, ie. a straight mark-up percentage (somewhere in the range 25-50%) and stated hourly labor cost.
