Summary: I brought

Review: I brought my 2003 Jaguar XK8 to Star Automotive on 2-23-2024. When I set the appointment, the service I requested was to have all of the transmission fluid replaced throughout the transmission, torque converter, transmission cooler and lines. I was assured they had the proper equipment to do so. Since they had the car all day I thought the service had been completed, however when I looked over the invoice there was not enough fluid to have done the complete job. It turns out that they only drained the fluid from the pan, replaced the pan/filter and refilled 5.5 quarts of a 10-11 quart capacity system and charged me $540.13. I called to speak with a shop manager or service manager and was told that he was busy and they would have him call me back. When I received the call from Paul (one of the owners) He began by telling me he had already spoken with all those involved. It was clear that he had done so to be able to defend his policies and point blame at me for signing the work order for “Auto Trans Drain & Fill” rather than be interested in giving actual customer service. I could have performed the service that Star Automotive did myself for $150 and it would have taken approx. 1 hr. I am completely dissatisfied with Star automotive and will not ever bring a vehicle to them again. Justification is a poor substitute for Integrity!
