Summary: Couldn't be happier

Review: Oh where shall I start? The fact that my customers truck blew up on your Dyno in the middle of an emissions test and you waited 45 minutes to come outside and tell me what had happened? I'm guessing that was to let the temperature cool down. How your tech didn't see the temperature climbing and abort the test still baffles me. Or the fact that the ECM HAD ZERO STORED CODES IN IT AFTER YOUR GUYS BLEW IT UP. Now I'm an ASE Certified Mechanic and nothing that you have said is true. Even the statement you made about not knowing what could possibly have happened to that motor. My customer and friend of 20 years is heart broken because of her truck. Your statement to me that this is not your responsibility and your refusal to even meet me in the middle and help me take care of this womans truck speaks volumes about your character and what type of person you truly are. I am going to fix this for her somehow. We both know what happened and you Sir are the worst type of human being out there. I can only imagine how many other people you've done similar things to.

Reply: Jerold, Again, I am truly sorry that this truck had a mechanical failure during the emissions test. Having gone back and watched the actual dyno run on my security cameras I have come to a few conclusions about this scenario. I want to emphasize that the emissions test is a state mandated standardized test that we run. It includes a visual inspection of the components of the vehicle as well as the load testing. The amount of soot emitted during the test indicated that the ECM has been tuned and either the DPF is damaged or no longer intact. A factory tune will not cause the amount of soot being emitted from the tailpipe that is visible in the footage. This also adds more credence to the stalling issue. Over-fueling injectors caused by aftermarket tunes can lead to engine damage. In watching the footage we also observed the vehicle shut down with no input from the technician, followed by white smoke or steam coming from under the hood after a few moments of stalling. If the vehicle had overheated while it was running as you state there would have been codes. The fact that you indicate that there are no codes simply reinforces the fact that the vehicle over heated after it stalled, when a vehicle runs at %100 load for 90 seconds and abruptly shuts itself off the coolant becomes super heated, and without the fan spinning to cool the radiator, or the pump turning to circulate coolant, the engine can not cool down and will boil over. I know you're dancing around accusations that we somehow cleared the codes prior, however I do have the security footage from the entire event, and the only person who entered the vehicle with a scanner was you. The one thing you have not mentioned is that Ford vehicles display a code after the ECM has been cleared. Since you haven't brought that up I can only assume it wasn't present which is simply one more piece of evidence that the vehicle had a failure on the dyno. Again, I am truly sorry that the vehicle had a catastrophic failure. We discussed this, and we both agree that the 6.4l engine was not Ford's most reliable engine. When customers add emissions defeating tuners into the mix the results are always catastrophic, however when we run a test we can not change the way the state mandates that a test is performed.
