Summary: Clean shop

Review: This was my first experience at Steve's Auto Repair as of 6/16/23. Most of the communication regarding work to be performed on my car was verbal with Norman. The use of work orders to better document maintenance, OEM specific or equivalent parts were used add an additional layer of assurance related to the quality of work performed. The brand of oil used for my oil change was not listed on the Invoice. I noticed that after starting my engine, the warning light stayed on for about 4-5 seconds before turning off. Normally the light would turn off when the engine started. Checked the oil filter and it appears to not fit and was smaller than the filter recommended by the manufacturer. I have an import from Germany and the filter was not even close to OEM filters. Two rear shocks were installed, based upon my conversation, they were being replaced with Bilstein sport shocks. I have not confirmed manufacturer and a detailed description was not included on my invoice. I will soon get them confirmed with a follow-up. A quick inspection of fluid levels revealed the radiator coolant level was low after a replacement of coolant parts recommended by the shop. The chirping sound has returned which was originally misdiagnosed as a coolant leak dripping on a belt from the thermostat housing. New thermostat housing and seal replaced in addition to thermostat and upper and lower hoses.
