Summary: Recommend

Review: On average, I visit Neil’s at least 5x / year for service on a late model BMW and older model diesel Mercedes SUV. I don’t often reply to survey requests, as they are such a common request for virtually any credit card transaction these days. However, my most recent visit for an alarming Mercedes “grinding noise” evaluation makes me feel as though compliance with a survey request is justified. Having dropped off my ML250 a day early, I was surprised to get a call that same day from Neil’s, indicating that a quick inspection had shown severe asymmetrical brake pad wear which suggested a more serious issue such as a broken caliper, boot failure or both. I was presented with best and worst case scenario estimates, and shortly after lunch the following day, I was called again to inform me that I had needed complete replacement of both rear brake components because of a rare dual boot failure ( at 90K miles, however ). Yes, it was more than “worse case scenario” expensive! However, I was shown my old brake assemblies, with details about the anatomy, function and failure of each part thoroughly explained. I drove away with my wallet a lot lighter, but with the knowledge that I was once again safe, and that the work was under warranty, by Neil’s, for 3 years. I can, without reservation, highly recommend Neil’s.
