Summary: Couldn't be happier

Review: I'd advise to seek other mechanic work, or at least go in knowing how much what you need done, is generally around, so as to not be scammed. Especially if you're female, and not so car savvy. I told them my wipers motor wiper could be heard that it was only the arm need to be re-attached. And that my brakes were obviously near the time to change. The Shop contacted me after their check and said i also had a loose wheel bearing and that it'd "Soon" be unsafe to drive. said for the brakes and 1 wheel bearing would be around 2k and the wipers almost another 1k (800-900) claiming the wiper motor was broken. I declined the work and then it was now "Currently" unsafe to drive. When I picked up the truck the wipers were left on and were making a awful grinding noise they had not made before. I had someone else look at it and this shop Mountain Auto had left the wipers motor taken somewhat apart under the plastic piece its located under, loose bolts, and as i had told the shop it was only the locking arm needing to be reconnected, after putting what this shop left back together. Also $200 for an oil change, 75% being labor. I will not be returning to this shop, and will strongly advise others not to as well.

Reply: Thank you for giving us feedback on your experience but there is a serious misunderstanding on your part as we do not scam our customers. First and foremost, the wipers were making a grinding noise upon arrival. We notified you that it was likely a failed wiper motor, and definitely not a wiper arm, but further inspection would be necessary. The technician verified proper power and ground supply to the motor and found that the wiper transmission would have to be removed to complete the diagnosis. We gave you a "worst case scenario" estimate for complete diagnosis and repairs and you declined. There was minimal disassembly of your wiper mechanism for the initial inspection, and everything that was taken apart was reassembled. As far as your brake inspection goes, we found that your wheel bearing was beginning to fail and your front and rear brakes were nearing a metal-to-metal condition; all of which are serious safety concerns and you were so advised. Finally, you did not pay $200 for an oil change. The oil change was a very standard rate, and you were also charged for the diagnosis of the wiper concern and the brake inspection; both of which you approved and were reasonable charges for the technician and shop time. We will NEVER attempt to scam any of our customers and we pride ourselves on quality inspections, professional workmanship, and honest customer service. We are sorry we weren’t able to convey that to you.
