Review: My wife and I had the good fortune to meet and interact with AutoWorks Car Care and its owner, Shaun Martin, after our vehicle broke down on a highway, 300-plus miles from home. We were on a road trip from Las Vegas to Hill AFB Utah when our 2000 Ford Expedition broke down near Payson, Utah. The left front wheel bearing gave out causing extensive damage to the rotor and spindle. This same problem had occurred and supposedly been repaired by an auto repair facility in Las Vegas before we set out on our trip. I called AAA for roadside assistance and the driver towed us to AutoWorks Car Care in Payson. Repairs were going to take awhile. We would need a rental car. We contacted Enterprise Car Rental in the next town, Spanish Fork. Enterprise would not be able to pick us up for quite some time. So Shaun helped us unload our luggage into his car and he personally drove us the 8 miles to Enterprise. While we waited at Hill AFB, Shaun kept us informed of the repair progress via text, email and telephone calls. The emailed Inspection Report was thorough, included photos of the damage and a 3 second video of a mechanic manually rocking the front left wheel to show the amount of play caused by failure of the bearings. The repair was delayed while waiting for a part that had to be ordered through the local Ford dealership. There was a further delay when the part finally arrived at the dealership but had yet to be delivered to AutoWorks Car Care. Shaun decided delivery was taking too long so he drove to the Ford dealership and picked up the part himself. Shaun saved and boxed up the damaged parts for me to take back to Las Vegas. This was something I had not thought of doing beforehand and it made a lot of sense. I intended to file a claim against the auto repair facility in Las Vegas. The damaged parts, the photos and the Inspection Report provided by Shaun all helped document what had happened.
