Summary: This is my first

Review: This is my first time at Meineke. I brought it in for a couple of problems. One is the check engine light. The other was a possible exhaust leak. They came back with a diagnosis on the check engine light. I'm still trying to figure out the math. The total estimate was almost $1,500. They told me the part cost about $400 and it would take about 3 and 1/2 hours to replace. That seems to work out to almost $300 an hour for labor which I've never heard anyone charging. I told them I couldn't do that right now. When I went to pick up the car it still has a pronounced exhaust sound which I guess they never looked at. The service person was very nice so I may try Meineke again but those two issues both make me question them just a bit. When you try out a new mechanic you're always a little more cautious and so there may be logical explanations for both issues. I'm just not sure what that could be.
