Summary: Great care and service

Review: They are courteous and kind and go above and beyond by means of extra bells and whistles (shuttle rides, loaner cars, beverage fridge, kid toys in waiting area). This last time there was no way we could afford the repair as quoted so we asked around and took the car to the dealer for another opinion. Tilson’s had quoted us at least $700 more than the absolute upper limit through the dealer. And a good $2000-2500 more than several other local shops. After Crunching numbers I discovered they charge at least $20 more per hour for labor than the next shop and stated the job would take two hours longer than any other mechanic stated. So if you like good service and don’t mind paying for it, feel free to go by Tilson’s. If you are trying to make ends meet, steer clear. It makes me wonder how much I overpayed the last two visits I made to Tilson’s. That being said: They are always nice. They seem intelligent. They are great at communicating. They are happy to answer questions. And the place is pretty nice for a fix it shop. I simply can’t afford them.
