Review: +Great service, very accommodating for last min requests, honest assessment -Prices for some parts are like 300% markup to retail. I expect some markup is expected, but this much.

Reply: Thank you for your kind words and we appreciate you sharing that you had a good experience with us. You are correct that parts are marked up, and depending upon the part the mark-up can vary (e.g., a $0.15 washer might be marked up to $0.45, where an engine will have a very small mark up. Additionally, the wholesale cost of parts to can vary too, sometimes by more than 250%. This variance can depend on the manufacturer, the distributor, as well as the quality. A true apples-to-apples cost comparison (that is , actual part to part not just part number to part number) is sometimes very difficult. Shops will mark-up parts not only for the margin, but to help pay general operating costs, employ highly skilled technicians, and some shops, like us, include a parts warranty (if we supply the parts for your service, your parts and the cost of labor to replace them are covered under a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty). We hope this helps clarify some of the variances seen in the costs to customers for parts costs on repair orders.
