5 Star Review

Summary: I love the pictures that..

Review: I love the pictures that were sent to me showing what needed to be repaired. They did the repairs in a timely fashion and at the quoted price. However, I thought the alignment cost was way too high, and I found 3 of 4 lug nuts on the driver's side front tire were loose and could have caused a nasty accident. I would use them again, however, because I think any shop's work should be checked after the fact. It's easy to miss something when a lot of work is being done, like it was on my car.

Reply: Stacey: We are happy to hear you were generally pleased overall with the service you received and that you will be back. We pride ourselves in providing service with integrity and the detailed report (with photos) you received is a part of that ? we want you to be able to see what we see and have confidence in us. We are sorry to hear, however, that you believe the price of alignment was high. Our 4-wheel alignment service is not like most tire service centers ? we perform weighted alignments using MINI/BMW weight specifications, which is generally more reliable and accurate. This does take a bit more time, but in our opinion, it is worth the extra effort for an accurate alignment resultant in a better driving experience (as it effects your suspension) as well as better tire wear (extending the life of your tires). Our price on the 4-wheel alignment is at $199 representing 1.6 hours of labor; this is some 30% less than recommended industry standard time charge of 2.3 hours, or $276 (we use All Data for industry standard flat rate charges). In any service or repair involving lug bolts, we use a torque stick (size specific to the vehicle) on the initial tightening, then follow with a torque wrench. The initial tightening is to ensure that the lug bolts are on but not too tight. We then follow with a torque wrench to ensure all are properly tightened to the full 90 pounds. If this final step is skipped the lug bolts can sometimes be a less tight on the wheel and we are sorry if this was the case. As always, we value your feedback and are here to serve you and your MINI?s needs. Please contact us anytime with any questions, comments or concerns. We look forward to seeing you again. Best Regards, Your Eastside Bavarian Team
