Review: This is the best and only independent BMW shop I know in Berkeley. Chris (owner and mechanic) is very informative and a friendly guy. I was going to buy a used 1996 BMW 328IS, so I wanted a pre-purchase inspection. I found this place on yelp and decided to come here after reading all the good reviews. I very impressed by Chris' knowledge on BMWs. He really know his stuff, he told me what was good, what was bad, and what was cool about the car. Too bad the car didn't turn out to be a good buy because the engine was severely overheated before, but the experience gave me a good impression on this shop. Chris even went into detailed about the spark plugs not being torqued correctly. Not many shops would care. I would definitely come back here with a BMW. He charges much less than the BMW dealerships and he has many years of experience. I wouldn't be surprise if his work is superior to the BMW dealerships. I heard him on the phone saying the BMW mechanics are inexperience, they are fresh out of college with only a couple years of experience. I would trust my car in his hands over someone with no experience. The quality of work he does, the experience he has, the customer service, and the price makes this place the absolute best.
