Luckily, these guys had a cancellation and were able to squeeze us in the same day and got us back on the road to finish our vacation plans on schedule. We arrived at the shop around 1pm and were out the door by 4:30pm on a Friday. Everything was fixed correctly and we had no additional problems. TJ at the counter took care of everything we could have asked for and made the bad situation as pleasant as possible - they even had dog bones for our dog. Very professionally run shop.

Susanne C.	My battery died yesterday when I went to leave for the dentist. I called AAA they said they 'might' be able to get to me in about an hour - which would mean missing my appointment. I called Jimmy's Auto, where I have all my service done, and TJ came to my house within 5 minutes (no joke) to jump start my car. When he removed the cables and asked me to start the car, no luck - so he jump started it again. Obviously, I needed a new battery. He asked me to follow him to the shop and as he was driving out of my driveway was already on the phone with Brad to make sure they had the battery my car needed, and to put the shop 'on notice' we were coming in on a 'rush' basis to install the new battery. We got to the shop, the battery was ready for installation, and although the shop was full, they brought my car right in and had that new battery installed in 10 minutes! I made it to the dentist only 10 minutes late.... This kind of SERVICE is unheard of today. TJ, Brad, and all the mechanics who work at Jimmy's are always great - but this experience was well beyond what any customer would expect. These guys are GREAT!!!

Anonymous	Jimmy's Automotive Center is the "BEST"! The old 1999 Ford F-150 got kinda warm on a return trip from Beaufort S.C. Took vehicle in and thermostat was replaced. Took the truck up the mountain to Mount Mitchell. Didn't make it... got kinda warm again. The vehicle would not over heat around town and up minor hills. Took a while up the mountain to get overheated. Headed down the mountain and temperature went to normal and stayed there. Took vehicle back to Jimmy's and left it with them to consider the possibilities. After several tests they determined that the radiator was not cooling properly. Suggested that I have the fan clutch replaced while they were in there. I agreed and discussed whether after 165,000 miles that maybe since they would have the front of the motor apart it would be wise to replace the water pump also. They agreed. We use the vehicle for long trips for missions we participate in. Need a reliable vehicle that can do the job. Since the repairs we have taken several mountain trips, pulled trailer with 2250 pounds of sod several times. Made trip to Tennessee and back. Perfect. Reliable and me and my wife feel relieved that we have a repair shop that is trustworthy, professional, understands OUR needs for reliability and safety. Again excellent and they did a maintenance check and replaced the brake light bulb to keep our family safe. Wayne R.	The mystery of where the smell of raw gasoline was coming from in my garage turned out to be a challenge. There were no signs of leakage on the garage floor or problems with small containers of gasoline for gasoline-powered yard equipment. Since I drive my Avalon most of the time, I had Jimmy inspect it first for the presence of any problem but he declared it in good working order. Shortly thereafter, my Mercedes was inspected that revealed that a small leak was probably coming from the top of the gas tank possibly in the vicinity of one of the fuel pumps. Jimmy was able to inspect the pumps by accessing the area by removing a plate in the floor pan underneath the back seat. The problem was determined to be a leaking fuel pump gasket which was replaced. By avoiding the need to remove the gas tank saved a considerable amount of money. At least I was able to wait until the age of 81 to have such a weird problem. Many thanks to Jimmy and his crew for providing the best possible solution.

Jimmy"s Automotive Center is an anomaly. it is in the country, near my home, no major car dealers near by, and will service old cars like my 23 year old Mazda to new cars like my new Honda. When you talk to them and peak into their garage its like talking to a head mechanic in a new car service center in terms of their knowledge, equipment, capability and cleanleness, but less costly. They are not the cheapest place to go for an oil change and NC inspection, but if you want your car, regardless of age to continue providing reliable transportation you can't beat their service even at a new car dealers service center and I have never had any problems with the service they provide.

Timothy G.	I have an older Jaguar which I have taken very good care of all of its life. It's my baby. When she went over 100,000 miles, I took her to my regular mechanic (who shall remain nameless) and told him to give the car a complete going over. They changed the oil, refilled the window washer and said it was good to go. At 103,000 a tire seperated and the check engine light came on. I took the car to Jimmy's this time. Yes, it cost me a lot of money, but they took care of the problems I was having AND did the inspection and service which the other mechanic should have done 3,000 miles sooner! They also called me and discussed what they were doing each step of the way, going just that little step farther than most. They were polite enough not to say anything bad about the previous mechanic's failure to do his job properly, they left that for me to figure out all by myself. Now my baby has new shoes ... I mean tires ... and is ready for her next 100,000. My only complaint is they say the car is "tan". Tan? Hey guys, this little cat is shiny GOLD!

Some of my neighbors have commented that Jimmy's seemed a little expensive. My experience is that Jimmy's does excellent work at a fair price. With all the electronics on automobiles today, prices for repair and replacement have gone up, but that is not the repair shops problem, that is a problem caused by the manufacturer. Jimmy's is a professional auto repair shop with excellent mechanics and they are honest. They repair what is needed and don't try to sell you on repairs that aren't needed.

The 6/16 bill estimated $149.21, which included new plugs and it seemed to include new ignition wires too. Price I paid yesterday was quite a bit higher. The fuel injection service estimate and billed price on 7/21 was the same so I have no questions there. I would just like to know why there is such a difference in price on the tune up. The service tech at Jimmy's found that a vacuum hose on the undercarriage of the car had come loose (must be those rough roads on the way to hiking trails) and fixed it up. They also let me know 3 or 4 lights were out and replaced the bulbs and I got an oil change. Overall I was happy with the work, the price and the overall experience including wi-fi in the waiting room. I will be back.
