They could have finished the replacement of the parts or even just left the parts they found were new in the car and charged me, But, That is Not How They Work. They are Honest. You can trust them. Mike W.	First off, let me say that I'll never take our vehicles anywhere else! I took in my 98 Nissan Frontier with an engine check light that had been keeping me from passing smog. An outfit in oregon was just going to follow the diagnostic code from the computer and change the recommended parts which was going to come to around $1500.00. As I was about to head back to California, I put it off and eventually ended up at Made in America/Made in Japan. I spoke to Kevin the service Mngr and he said that they'd rather do a thorough diagnostic, rather than just replace the parts and not have it solve the problem. Aaron the tech started on the truck, and keep in mind this was a $230.00 diagnostic. 22.7 hours of labor later(all covered by the $230.00 diagnostic charge!) including calls to national expert help lines and 4 hours worth of trips to parts houses, they solved the mystery! It turns out a computer under the dash had somehow got water in it and shorted out part of the board. They reinstalled the new computer, and boom, fixed! It seems clear to me that other shops would've just installed what the diagnostic said to, which was wrong, and I'd still be dead in the water. Kevin the service manager joked that with all the time Aaron spent on this he could have installed 3 motors or did six timing belts! Seriously! These guys will have mine and my families business forever. Thanks guys!

Linda H.	Please READ THIS. How do you say thank you enough to a repair shop, that goes so far over the top and assists you even though, you are not even paying them. My newly purchased car overheated at the Grapevine and needed to be towed. Later I brought it to a dealership in Lancaster. They said the repair would start at $1750.00, and that I should not drive the car, and assumed I would be leaving it. The car was running fine and not overheating. I contacted the Made in America, Made in Japan on Howe in Sacramento with a quick question. Kevin immediately started helping me with my questions, including giving me his after hours number, if I had questions. Following Gary assisted me greatly and then it was either Aaron or Ian. They assisted me by speaking to QH Automotive in Lancaster and instructed them to do some minor repairs, that allowed me to get back safely 400 miles, to my home in Northern California. I was told to contact them during my trip home if I was having any problems. After I got back I brought my car in for an inspection. Not only did they do a very detailed inspection, but instructed me how to keep my car running in the mean time. These men are honest, sincere, and know what exceptional customer service is. Anonymous	Made in America did a pre-purchase inspection on a Dodge 2001 4x4 and found 2 issues the dealer did not disclose, find, or failed to repair. With only a 48 hour period to have an inspection completed Made in America got the truck in quickly and explained the problems. They also faxed the repair quote to the dealership. This was all done for a small price compared to what was paid to the dealer for the truck and left us knowing we will have a safe and reliable truck once the repairs are completed. Then last week, during my 90K scheduled maintenance, the technician discovered that the water pump was leaking. They were very honest about it and got the warranty process started right away. Less than a week later, they replaced the water pump again at no cost. I feel like I can trust these guys which is important in choosing the mechanic you stick with. Previously I have taken my Infiniti G35 to this shop and have been ecstatic with the level of service and professionalism. The Jeep, as expected, needed some repairs, but I received a text message with a picture of the parts that needed to be replaced and the text was followed up with a phone call to discuss. The amount of transparency is wonderful, and always makes me comfortable with the recommendations. I authorized the service, but there was an issue with getting one of the parts. The service appointment was on a Friday, but we needed the Jeep for a trip on Monday. They came in on Saturday, drove to get the part and then did the work on what would be their day off. If you can get better (or even as good) service at your shop, keep going there. If not, you need to give these guys a try. They are the best independent shop I have ever dealt with. (I am an old man, so that's over 30 years of automotive service :-))

Priscilla H.	I am pleased with the service I received at Made in Japan. They diagnose what is wrong with the vehicle; they don't just start throwing parts and labor at the problem. For example, I had taken my car to 3 other mechanics to determine why my car was overheating.They either found nothing or proposed very expensive repairs which, as it turned out, would not have fixed the overheating issue. In contrast, the fellows at Made in Japan actually checked to find out what was wrong with the car first, and then FIXED the problem, (and it was an inexpensive fix)! Tony F.	I brought my car in due to an intermittent electrical problem. The issue with those types of problems is that they can be difficult to find. The technician, the service manager and even the owner (!) spent time trying to solve the issue...but were unable to get the problem to reoccur. They cared enough at that point to recommend against blindly replacing a $500 part, because they were not 100% certain that it would fix the problem. It's nice to know that they care so much about my car and my experience. That's the kind of team I want maintaining my car.

Roy K.	Gary and Kevin took the time to walk me through their business philosophy with their emphasis on quality work with quality parts. I like what they do and how they are growing their business. I needed new brakes but had no idea how deteriorated my cars brake system had become. My car was in the shop all day and I had not anticipated that kind of delay. While they worked on my car, I took off to do some things on foot and they stayed in touch all through the process. There were some delays due to bad conditions of parts rotors and brake fluid delivery system to rear brakes). I was contacted by phone at each “discovery” event and was a bit shocked at the final price estimate. However, the damage to my brakes was severe and the repair became more of a “replace” due to the worn parts etc. The bottom line is that I should have been on top of this issue 3 months earlier and so there were really no options except to replace most parts with new. While the extra time needed was an inconvenience, I also realized that I was responsible for this as noted above. For me, the issue was safety, and the quality of work and parts is very reassuring. I can now “forget” about thinking about my brakes every few moments and am already much more productive in my personal and professional life……………….. imagine that!! Tony F.	This was my first time taking my car (2005 Infiniti G35 coupe) into this shop. I set up my appointment online using their website. The website was extremely easy to use and the appointment process was a snap. When I dropped off my car I was helped in a flash by friendly and professional service. My car was inspected and I immediately received a call apprising me of the situation. They identified a couple of additional items that needed attention. I was not pressured into having the extra work done. The situation was explained to me and we moved forward. I did have the extra work done and like the rest of the service it was completely promptly, professionally and at a lower price than the dealership would have charged. My experience was excellent and I plan on taking my Infiniti and my other car (2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee) here for service in the future. Guy W.	$7.31!!! Seven dollars and thirty one cents.... Because of my experiential wisdom I am quite cynical when it comes to auto service centers. After being told via phone that the total cost (quoted prices include sales tax, which I appreciate--no "hidden costs) of my rear axle lube change job for my SUV would be$103--I drive down the driveway behind American Furniture only to find there was a misunderstanding: for what I actually needed (not a transfer case job; I'm not the most articulate spokesperson for my car problems) the total would be $131--OK, not as bad as my deep-rooted skepticism would warrant. 20 minutes later, Brian tells me that Aaron had taken a test ride to check out the noises and came up with a somewhat different diagnosis than I had imagined. After bringing me to the repair area to actually see (!!!) the underside of my vehicle and the few problems creating certain of my concerns, I was given a $7 bill for topping off the lube which was about half empty, and a printout of how to attack my problems in order of priority. "It would be pointless to change the lube now," Brian said, "given what I believe are the primary concerns." First and foremost guys (Aaron, Brian and Doogie) when I choose auto mechanics I look for Integrity. Made in America has it in spades. I'll be scheduling my top priority job sometime next week.
